Control of spatial displacements

    Having stated that, control of the technical condition of buildings and structures becomes a special significance in order to prevent a possible emergency situation at the earliest stage. Such control should be systematic and allow making necessary engineering decisions on the basis of a large sample. In other words, the monitoring of the state of the buildings should make it possible to determine matching of the actual stiffness, durability, stability of the main structures to the design and regulatory requirements.
    The primary task of spatial displacements control is to observe the deformations during the construction and buildings operation of different purposes. It is part of the control of the buildings state and high-risk objects and provides continuous spatial displacements monitoring of dams, bridges, buildings and other structures during construction and throughout the life of the operation.
    The control of spatial displacements determines the object parts displacement (or objects in general) relative to fixed points, which in turn allows to calculate deformations, inclinations, reciprocal movement of blocks and sections of objects, and to determine the further development dynamics emergency processes. Thus, qualitative monitoring of spatial displacements allows timely to detect the occurrence of deviations of the parameters of buildings from the design and to develop and implement emergency rehabilitation measures.
    The spatial displacement control system has already been successfully implemented in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
    In Ukraine, the system works at the hydroelectric power station of the Dnieper cascade, namely:
    - Kaniv HPP
    - Dnieper HPP
    - Middle Dnieper HPP
    and at the Dniester cascade HPP, namely:
    - Dniester HPP
    In Kazakhstan, the same system of control of spatial displacements was installed on the Irtysh cascade HPP, namely:
    - Shulbinsk HPP
    JSC Bancomzvjazok - making life safer!
