Participation in the Results of the Implementation of the Investment Program 2009-2015 on the Hydropower Plants of Kazakhstan Conference

On November 12-13, 2015, the representatives of the Bancomzvjazok Company took part in the first industry scientific and practical conference of hydropower engineers: The Results of the Implementation of the Investment Program 2009-2015 on the Hydropower Plants of Kazakhstan with a presentation on the topic: “The Introduction of Automated Control Systems as Basic Element for Ensuring the Safety of Hydraulic Structures”. During the conference, presentations on major investment projects implemented at hydroelectric power plants in Kazakhstan for the period 2009-2015 have been presented; the participants have discussed the best practices and exchanged experiences. Oleh Ruban, Corporate Account Manager of Bancomzvjazok JSC, has spoken about the system developed by the company's specialists for monitoring the status of high-risk facilities, the features of its implementation at hydroelectric power plants in Ukraine, and application for hydroelectric power facilities in Kazakhstan. In 2013, Bancomzvjazok JSC has developed the technical documentation “The Automatic Monitoring System for Hydraulic Structures" for Shulbinsk HEP and Ust-Kamenogorsk HEP. At the moment, the construction of the projected system at Ust-Kamenogorsk HEP and Shulbinsk HEP is performed by Silumin-Vostok, LLC, and Bancomzvjazok’s specialists render consulting services on the implementation of the production plan and commissioning of own production equipment. As part of the program, the conference participants have visited Bukhtarma, Ust-Kamenogorsk, and Shulbinsk HEPs, where they got acquainted with the results of implementing investment projects: reconstruction of hydraulic units, reconstruction of open switchgear 220kV with the introduction of combined SF6 circuit breakers, the introduction of an automated monitoring system for the transformer substation of the main equipment, the installation of a complete gas insulated switchgear 220kV, and a number of other projects.
